Superstars - Further Information Following on from the last email with a reminder about our Superstars event tomorrow, we have been studying the weather forecast. As you are probably aware, it is currently not looking too good, but we have managed to come up with a wet weather plan involving moving the majority of the events inside, so Superstars will still be going ahead tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd May, 1:30pm - 4:30pm, regardless of the weather! We still have our fingers crossed that the forecast will improve! A final decision will be made tomorrow morning and, if we do need to move indoors, an updated map of where each event will be taking place will be sent out. The timetable will remain the same. Here are the key reminders again: Children need to come to school wearing any sports clothes, which they do not mind getting wet / messy. Children need to bring a towel and a change of clothes and spare trainers to school in case they get a real soaking! (The 'wet' events will still be outside even if we move others inside!) Children need to bring a named water bottle to school. Children will need money to pay for additional events and to buy refreshments in a named purse – coins (including 50p pieces) rather than notes if possible. If we are lucky enough to have hot weather(!), please could the children also bring in a hat and put sun cream on before arriving at school. Parents are advised to bring coats / umbrellas if the weather is wet, as they will be standing outside to view the wet events! Parents are permitted to take photographs on the day at all events, with the exception of the 'Splat the Staff' event. (Staff are understandably extremely reluctant to have any compromising photographs taken of them getting wet!) Please could we ask that any photos taken at other events are not posted on social media. Younger siblings are very welcome to attend with parents. They can even pay to have a go on some of the events if there is time after the class has finished. Parents must ensure that they take full responsibility for the supervision of younger children. Please also note that children will not be allowed to have their mobile phones with them during the event. We are really looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
