REMINDER - 3B Trip to Dell Quay on Wednesday 24th April Year 3 Dell Quay As part of the geography curriculum, Year 3 will be visiting Fishbourne and Dell Quay with the Chichester Harbour Conservancy to further our studies on rivers. The children will travel by mini bus, one provided by Chichester Harbour Conservancy and our own bus. All children will complete a range of field studies. We will arrive at Fishbourne about 10 am to have a short walk before undertaking field work activities in the meadow and stream. We will then walk to Dell Quay Education Centre for lunch and shore activities. Children will return to school for 3pm. Children do NOT need to wear school uniform. They will need to come to school in clothes suitable for exploring a river (very shallow) e.g. trousers, t-shirt/sweatshirt and suitable trainers and bring with them a pair of wellington boots, waterproof beach shoes or a spare pair of old trainers in a named carrier bag (they will get wet!). The children should also bring a spare pair of socks in case these get wet. These are essential, as we have had some sore feet in the past. A waterproof coat, sun cream and a sun hat would be advisable depending on the weather. It is very important that the children are suitably dressed as they will be outside all day whatever the weather. All children will require a packed lunch and drinks (no fizzy drinks, chocolate, sweets or chewing gum). Please make payment of your voluntary contribution of £10 and complete the permission form on ParentMail, if you haven't already done so.
