Welcome

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you to Bosmere Junior School. This website aims to give you an overview of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.  I hope you find any information you are looking for.

Bosmere Junior School

On Friday 31st January 2025 we are fortunate enough for a company called Sports For Champions to be coming in and visiting us. This will involve a Team GB athlete coming into the school to deliver an assembly, where they will share stories, medals and their journey throughout their career so far. The athlete will then run a sporting circuit workshop with every year group. We will be sending the children home with sponsorship forms to try and raise funds as they complete the circuit with the athlete. The organisation itself is a non-profitable organisation. 60% of money raised above a target amount to cover costs will go directly back into our school PTA fund. The other 40% goes into the Athlete Fund to support them with medical/training costs so they don't have to worry about generating a wage whilst getting ready to compete. Sponsorship forms and all money raised need to be handed back into school by Monday 27th January in preparation for the event on Friday 31st January. Please ensure money is in a named envelope or money bag. Alternatively, there is also a QR code on the form which gives you the option of donating online. All instructions for this are on the form itself. Please note that you still need to write the amount donated on the forms for your child to receive their reward for the amount collected in school. This is explained on the form. Children will be reminded about this when returning from the Christmas holidays. We will have target posters up in school also for them to aim towards. Hopefully, the children will experience and enjoy a fantastic day with a Team GB athlete. Maybe we will inspire some of them to have the ambition to be an athlete themselves in the future!
